Veronica Pershina

Background:

Ms. Veronica was World Junior Champion in 1979, Russian National Champion in 1981, Bronze medalist at European Championship in 1985, Five time World competitor 1980-1985. Famous Russian coaches Stanislav Zuk and Irina Rodnina taught her. From 1986 to 1990, Ms. Veronica skated as a professional skater with Russian show “All Stars” under the management of Tatiana Tarasova. Ms. Veronica toured with Jane Torvill and Christopher Dean from 1988 to 1990.

Experience:

Ms. Veronica has over 25 years of extensive experience as a skating teacher including 11 years at the Detroit Skating Club and 2 year at the Onyx Skating Academy with Richard Callaghan. Since 1990, Ms. Veronica has been coaching students from basic skills to an International level. Ms. Veronica has led students to their Senior test level, National and International competitions. In addition, Ms. Veronica has worked with adult skaters. Ms. Veronica is a member in good standing of the United States Figure Skating Association (USFSA) and PSA.

Ms. Veronica is continuing her professional education by taking part in National seminars and workshops and is continuing to take more rating tests.
