Steven Pottenger

Background:

Steven was a competitive skater for 20 years. He started skating at the age of 3 and competed in freestyle and pairs. Throughout his career he was able to qualify for the US Figure Skating National Championships 13 times in singles and pairs and competed internationally with Team USA on the Junior Grand Prix circuit. He is a 4 time national medalist including 2003 Junior pair national champion.

Steven has taken students to Sectionals, Nationals and International events. 

Steven graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a degree in Bachelor of Business Administration in 2011.

Experience:

Steven has over twenty two years of coaching experience. He is a National Coach and a National Development Team coach. Steven’s favorite thing about teaching is being able to promote excellence and good sportsmanship on the ice, he strives to teach his students lessons that will help them succeed in life.
