Lia Forsyth

Background:
Lia began skating at age 6 where she quickly fell in love with the sport. She competed in the disciple of synchronized skating from ages 8-18. Lia was a member of the 2006 Hockettes Junior World Team. Lia is a multiple National and International competitor and former Synchronized Skating Junior World Team and TEAM USA member. She is a National and International medalist.

Experience:
Lia began coaching at the junior level at age 16. She realized quickly that she had found her calling as a figure skating coach both for individuals and synchronized skating teams. While in college, Lia began to coach full-time. She has coached skaters from the beginner (Learn To Skate) level through Gold Skating Skills and to National level events. Along with her Forsyth Skating Academy coaching team, Lia’s National Solo Dance skaters have won multiple Championships and medals at the National Solo Dance Series Finals. As a synchronized skating coach with the Hockettes, Lia has coached multiple Midwestern Sectional and National medal winning teams. Her focus, as a coach, is is to ensure that her skaters meet their potential while deepening their love for the sport and having fun! Lia is perhaps equally as proud of her close relationships with her students as she is with their successes as skaters.
