Background:
Brad began skating at the age of 7 with the Lansing Skating Club in Lansing, Michigan where he trained for 11 years as a regional competitive skater. Brad has achieved his USFS Gold Freestyle, Gold Moves in the Field, Pre-Gold Dance, and Juvenile Pair.
Brad performed as a professional figure skater with Feld Entertainment’s “Disney On Ice” for 5 years on three different productions (The Wizard of Oz, The Little Mermaid, and 100 Years of Disney Magic) on various national and international tours (North America, Central America, Asia, Australia, and Europe). He performed numerous ensemble roles and understudied principal character roles and performed choreography by world-famous choreographers such as Robin Cousins, Cindy Stuart, and Sarah Kawahara.
Brad completed his Bachelor of Arts in Interpersonal Communication with minor in Psychology at Western Michigan University and his Master of Arts in Higher Education/Student Personnel Administration at New York University. He works full-time at the University of Michigan where he serves as a Wellness and Grants Coordinator for MHealthy/Project Healthy Schools.
Experience:
Brad joined the AAFSC Learn to Skate coaching staff in May 2017 and the AAFSC Professional staff in January 2019. Brad currently serves as the Assistant Director of Competition Club and Assistant Director of Aspire. He enjoys working with beginner and low-level skaters of all ages on their foundational skating skills as well as helping skaters to expand their choreography and performance skills on the ice.
