At Nexxice, the on-ice training placed a significant emphasis on developing quality skating skills. This allowed me to gain a deep understanding of edge control, stroking quality, flow, the essential role of maintaining soft knees and ankles, along with other important skating and synchro skills. Additionally, with Nexxice, I competed at several National, International, and World Championship synchronized skating competitions.
In Canada, I also earned an Honors Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto.
Coaching Style
My coaching style is positive, supportive, and I love helping skaters develop their skills and achieve their goals! During lessons, I actively communicate with my skaters to ensure they feel encouraged and supported. I also typically skate with my students as much as possible to demonstrate techniques, helping them see and feel the nuances and finesse that improve their skills, while also providing immediate feedback.
Lesson Types & Availability
I enjoy working with skaters of all ages and skill levels. I offer a variety of lesson types, including general skating skills, Learn to Skate skills, synchronized skating, and Skating Skills Tests (formerly known as Moves in the Field Tests). My availability is flexible, and I aim to accommodate skaters’ schedules.
