STROKING NEWS!

On Tuesday - Friday the ice cut from 4:05pm - 4:15pm will be cancelled. Instead, skaters on the 3:15pm & 3:40pm session will be allowed to stay on the ice for an extra10 minutes and skaters on the 4:15pm session will be allowed to get on the ice 10 minutes before their session. This 10 minutes of BONUS ICE will be given free of charge but with one catch. Only Stroking will be allowed during this time period.

There will not be an assigned Stroking Coach to run the 10 minutes but skaters are encourage to set up private or semi private lessons with a coach to work on stroking. We strongly recommend all skaters to take full advantage of this opportunity to improve their basic stroking skills. In addition to these 10 minute sessions we also have the 30 minute low/mid stroking class on Mondays. The Tuesday mid/high stroking class was cancelled due to low enrollment.

AAFSC Ice Rules and Etiquette Policy

Skaters and Parents: To make the most of your (or your skater's) club ice sessions, please familiarize yourselves with the club rules regarding skater check-in, ice cuts, music requests, and general ice etiquette.

Please read AAFSC Ice rules and etiquette policies (pdf, 17.5k)

Club Refund / Credit Policy

Contract ice is not refundable in whole or in part except for major medical injury or prolonged illness (with accompanying physician’s written note). Refunds, if made, will be in the form of credit on Club account. Any refund request must be made in writing within 30 days of the first missed session.

Changes between sessions should be made using the drop/add form and signed by parent.  Changes may be made within the first 2 weeks of the contract session without charge. After 2 weeks a $10 administrative fee for each session changed will be charged.

New Stroking Program

The goal of the AAFSC Stroking program is to help our skaters learn
some skill(s), do an exercise implementing the skills, and build
endurance – continuous skating using a sequence of skills.

If you have any questions about the new stroking program,  please
check with the office or the coaching staff.

Volunteer Hours Allocation

A chart of volunteer hours allocations is now available. You may also pick up a copy of this chart outside the AAFSC office. This is offered as an aid to members to ensure everyone contributes their time to club endeavors.
