Background:
Yaroslava Nechaeva began skating in Moscow, Russia at the age of four. When she was twelve, Iaroslava began Ice Dancing and later teamed up with Youri Tchesnitchenko whom she skated with for fourteen years. During Yaroslava's amateur career, she was on the Russian National team and competed in many internationally events including Junior Worlds, Skate America, Skate Canada, and the European Championships. Iaroslava was taught by World and Olympic level coaches including Natalia Linichuk and Natalia Dubova. Iaroslava trained in a group of World and Olympic skaters including two time Olympic Champions O. Grischuk/E. Platov; Olympic Champions M.Klimova/S. Ponomorenko, Silver Olympic Champions M. Usova/A.Zulin, World Champions Tatiana Nafka, and Irina Slutskay.

Yaroslava continued skating with Youri through their professional career as well, which started in 1995 in England touring with the production of The Phantom of the Opera on Ice, and Torvill and Deans "Ice Adventures". In the USA they performed with the Ice Theater of New York . In 1999 Yaroslava started teaching at Ann Arbor Figure Skating Club. She enjoys working with skaters of all levels and ages. Yaroslava's students successfully competed at Junior and Adult Nationals as well as US National and International competitions.

Experience:
Since 1999 Yaroslava (Yasa) has been coaching students from basic beginners to an International level. Yasa has led students to their Senior tests level as well as National competitions .Yasa has level V ranking with PSA (An International level coach) as well as Registered rating in Moves in the Field. Yasa is continuing her professional education by taking part in national seminars and work shops.

Since 1999 Yasa and her skating partner Youri Tchesnitchenko have been developing the competitive dance program at AAFSC. Starting from a preliminary level they were able to develop the program which led their students to 2002 Juvenile, 2002/2003 Intermediate Junior National Champions and 2004 Novice National Champions. Yasa's students successfully competed at international competitions bringing two gold and two silver medals to AAFSC.
