Background:
Aleksandr (Sasha) Nagorny started skating at the age of 5 in Kiev, Ukraine. He became the Master of Sport of USSR in Figure Skating and was a member of the Ukrainian National Figure Skating team. He obtained his Master Degree as a coach and choreographer from the Ukrainian State Academy of Physical Education and Sports.

Aleksandr started teaching figure skating at the age of 19. In 1999, Sasha moved to the United States and joined the professional staff of Bowling Green Ice Arena. Over the years Sasha has coached many students and brought them from the Beginner level to the Senior level in Moves, Freestyle, and Dance. His students have successfully participated in different competitions, including Regionals. Sasha joined the coaching staff of the Ann Arbor Figure Skating Club in 2009.

Sasha is a PSA and USFSA member. He continues his professional education by attending national seminars and workshops and taking online PSA courses.
